when I was young
I met Yasutake Funakoshi’s book

it’s an upholstered book
the word “boat” is stamped on the cover with silver foil.

in that boat
there was a human

I read the book
I wanted to meet the statue of the 26 saints

a few years ago
I went to Nagasaki to visit Chihiro’s grave

some days
I walked in the city of Nagasaki

I met the saints at that time

in the sky
floating

Nagasaki was a hill town

I heard the whistle of the ship
I heard the church bell ring

so
it came true

若い頃

ヒトがいた

その本を読んで
二十六聖人を見たいと思った

数年前に
千尋さんの墓参に長崎に行き

長崎の街を歩いた

その時に聖人たちと会った

空に
浮かんでた

坂の街
だった

船の汽笛を聴いた
教会の鐘の鳴るのを聴いた

それで
叶った

go to the sea

even yesterday noon
I was looking at the sea

go buy tangerines
on the way home

stand on the beach

the wind is strong
on top of the tetrapod

there were two young peoples
they are fishing for scorpion fish

in the harbor
the wind is blowing

the pigeons were on the ground
ripples changed shape and spread in the sea

in the blue water
the collapsed tetrapod was sinking

there were under the swaying ripples

the sea water looks blue
because it reflects the blue of the sky

昼にも

海を見てた

蜜柑を買いに行き
帰りに

海辺に佇つ

風が強く吹いて
テトラポッドの上には

若者がふたり
いた

カサゴを釣っているのだろう

港には
風が吹いて

鳩たちは地べたにいた
海には波紋が形を変えてひろがっていた

青い水の中には
崩れた

テトラが沈んでいた

揺れる波紋の下に
いた

海の水が青く見えるのは
空の青を映しているからだ

I put her down in the garden
she crouches and pees

when I hug back her to bed
she sleeps soon

I wait for the morning in another room

wait for the windows to brighten

wait for the voice of a little bird

a crow cawed

the west mountains are under the light blue sky
there is the blue-green west mountain

田舎の知り合いたちが

いる

そこにいる
わたしが捨ててきたヒトたちだ

故郷のことや
